When she was away, a new empress took the throne.
Overcome with jealousy, she stole everything that’s beautiful for herself and let the Gardens perish.
When the Pillar returned and saw the pitiful state of her land, she fought and easily defeated the empress. Imprisoning her didn’t bring back the glory of the Gardens, however.
Saddened, she sacrificed her own beauty to her artifact as a pure act of kindness and restored the gracious and prestigious Gardens.
