I rose To cross the room To step up to The window, To look out of The window, I rose Up from my chair To reach the Window, But, I saw- I glanced Behind me and I saw, like blood, like A stain...... Before I knew, Like wine, dark Like a pool, Spilled on the floor- My shadow-Red -stretched out behind Me- Red, Why is my shadow Red ? Why is my shadow Red !
