[00:02]This is 7 news network, [00:03]and we bring you breaking news of a bank robbery downtown, [00:06]where the World First Bank has just been struck [00:09]by what is believed to be the greatest heist in recent years. [00:14]Only hours ago, just before the lunch hour rush, [00:17]4 men entered the bank building through the main doors, [00:19]posing as bank customers. [00:21]The accomplices who have yet [00:23]to be identified by the police [00:24]were heavily armed and managed [00:25]to remain undetected by bank security. [00:28]Having located the bank manager, [00:30]they forced him to relinquish [00:31]a server room skeleton key. [00:33]Security forces are unwilling to [00:35]comment at this point, [00:36]but inside sources indicate the manager [00:37]may have sustained fatal injury during the robbery. [00:42]In this server room, inside what appears to be [00:45]a hollow photocopier, [00:46]an unknown accomplice had hidden drilling equipment [00:48]as well as several canisters of what sources describe as thermite [00:52]a chemical compound commonly [00:54]used by elite military units [00:56]to break through hard metal surfaces. [00:58]The drilling equipment was then used to force the locks of the gate, [01:01]blocking the way to the [01:02]underground high-security vault area. [01:05]Having gained access to the vault area, [01:07]the 4 accomplices proceeded to ignite the thermite [01:10]in a space directly above the storage vault. [01:13]While the robbers emptied the vault [01:14]to an unknown amount of cash, [01:16]security forces arrived, surrounding the building and [01:19]cutting off exits and escape routes. [01:23]At this point, it was believed [01:24]that the robbers who held hostages, [01:27]several bank customers and officials [01:29]would try to initiate negotiation with the authorities. [01:31]Instead, they executed what appears to be [00:34]a carefully designed escape plan. [01:41]Using plastic explosives, [01:42]the robbers blew a hole in an interior wall, [01:46]creating a concealed escape route via [01:48]an adjacent office building [01:48]into an unmonitored stairwell.
